Reduction of thermal radiation at selected work positions at Re Alloys sp. z o.o.

The main objective of the project is the reduction of thermal radiation and improvement of work conditions at the positions related with handling of the submerged arc furnaces at the level of their charging by mounting a set of heat shields at two furnaces of the Furnace Building II. The purchase of 68 pieces of sliding shields and 4 pieces of lifting shields is planned. The complete system of shields and the possibility to manoeuvre them will allow a feeding machine operator to have free access to a given zone of the furnace hearth with no threat of excessive exposure to heat radiation and it will limit the risk of adverse effect of post-production gases emission and flames during sudden “caving in” of the furnace charge.
