Environmental protection is one of our priority tasks.
Our activities aim at full compliance with applicable law and other regulations regarding environmental protection and requirements of the ISO 14001 standard, the latter adopted by Re Alloys voluntarily. We undertake to take constant measures in order to minimise the negative impact on the environment and to observe the principle of continuous improvement of environmental management system and take “green” actions.
Our environmental policy is widely known amongst our employees and it is available to all interested parties outside the company. On its basis, organisational units’ managers define environmental objectives and impose duties on the subordinates aiming at implementation of this policy.
A de-dusting system operating in the plant ensuring that dusts from the ferroalloys production process are almost entirely captured. Silica dust, SILIMIC, used as an active additive for concrete and building materials, is being sold to domestic and foreign recipients.
An important element of the production installation is the Water Treatment Facility, thanks to which there is a closed production water circuit in the plant. All the sewage from the plant, cooling water, rainwater, as well as residential waste water is directed to the Water Treatment Facility where it is treated to achieve class 2 water. Such water is recycled to cooling systems.
Pursuant to article 32c (2) of the Atomic Law (Journal of Laws of 2019 item 1792), RE ALLOYS sp. z o.o. notifies that the company’s business activity relating to ionising radiation consisting of using equipment containing radioactive sources does not cause any adverse effects on human health or the environment.
The activity conducted does not cause releases of radioactive substances into the environment.
