On 17 November 2022, Wind Farm Łada, a subsidiary of Re Alloys, signed an agreement with Nordex Group for the supply and installation of ten wind turbines. The 35 MW wind farm is being developed in the Dzwola municipality, in the villages of Kocudza I, Kocudza II and Kocudza III. The turbines are scheduled to become operational in early 2024.
The transaction marks another step in the implementation of Re Alloys’ Going Green strategy, which focuses on developing renewable energy projects and increasing the company’s energy independence.
Re Alloys is an energy-intensive company, making the development of its own renewable energy sources an important strategic priority. Electricity generated from wind power is expected to increase the share of renewable energy in the energy mix associated with Re Alloys’ operations and help reduce the company’s exposure to energy price volatility.
Developing its own energy sources may also contribute to greater predictability of energy costs and operational stability, which are important for the company’s continued growth and employment.
Re Alloys is one of the largest employers in the municipality, making the maintenance of stable operations and employment particularly important for the local community.
