Yesterday we had the honour to host professor Maciej Chorowski, BEng, PhD, DSc, CEO of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
Representatives of the Re Alloys staff showned the remarkable ferroalloys production process, unique in Poland, and they presented the character of steelworkers job.
The subjects of discussion were the climate policy introduced by the European Union, as well as regulatory and investment barriers that are encountered by enterprises whose energy costs constitute a large share in the total production costs. The Re Alloys team presented the strategy for the plant transformation into a zero-emission, highly-efficient ferroalloys producer, they also showned possibilities of employing this strategy by other energy intensive units for the climate protection, also for retaining their production assets and maintaining their well-paid workplaces.
