On 20th September 2011 during the XIV International Conference on Energy EUROPOWER the awards for World Energy Leader were bestowed.
The company Re Alloys was the winner of the competition and received a title
of a leader in the Recipient of the Year category. In support of its choice the Awards Committee wrote:
"It is only a slight exaggeration to say that there is probably no other metallurgical company in the world that holds renewable energy sources in its name.
Indeed, such an approach characterises the chosen company, which in all its activities emphasises ecological solutions and energy efficiency. It is an active recipient of electricity which implements ambitious energy projects, including innovative system for producing domestic hot water and electricity from postproduction gases. It also cooperates actively with the scientific community.”
Re Alloys is implementing an innovative project “Development of a system for producing hot water and electricity from the latent heat in postproduction gases“ which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the framework of Innovative Economy Operational Program POIG.01.04.00-24-005/09;POIG.04.01.00-24-005/09.
